Phnom Penh is the capital city of Cambodia and has incredible opportunities for outreach amongst at-risk women, children, and families. With over 200 slum and street communities, Phnom Penh is targeted regularly for human trafficking, drugs, and other corrupt activities, making the city a primary source and destination location for exploitation.

Poipet is a border city in Cambodia, neighboring Thailand, and is a major intersection for human trafficking. Poverty, lack of industry, and minimal jobs attribute to this gateway city’s vulnerability. Many cross the border daily looking for work and hope for a better future, some never return.

Ho Chi Minh City is an up and coming city in the south of Vietnam. Once known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City is now an epicenter for business and tourism. Foreign visitors and locals travel regularly to the city for sex tourism, where more than 30,000 prostitutes work and live. Ho Chi Minh City is also a primary source and destination location for human trafficking, where it’s estimated that nearly 92% of the city’s street children have been sexually exploited, many ending up trafficked for labor or sex.

Cambodia Outreach Possibilities

We can custom-make your outreach, based on group preferences, desired focuses, experiences, and ministry gifts. Here are some outreach suggestions:

  • Children’s outreaches – Reaching out to village, slum, and street communities, with ministry involving skits, games, activities, songs, teachings, sharing the gospel, and meal times
  • Community outreaches – Food and hygiene distributions, door-to-door evangelism, foot washing, Bible studies with men or women, English lessons in our Lighthouses (ministry houses)
  • Ministry to the sick – Prayer ministry in hospitals and HIV / TB clinics
  • Ministry to vulnerable women – Outreaches in the brothels and Karaoke bars (adults only)
  • Worship, prayer, and intercession – Group worship sessions and outreaches, prayer walking / driving around the city or in onsite locations, corporate intercession and fellowship times with partners, team, and community
  • Partnerships – Work with local churches or organizations to fulfill strategic, focused ministry assignments
  • Evangelism – Outreaches out to slum and street communities through prophetic evangelism outreaches and related activities.

Vietnam Outreach Possibilities:

At this time, we are only offering prayer focused outreaches into Ho Chi Minh City and Bavet (the border between Cambodia and Vietnam).  We can custom-make your outreach, based on group preferences. However, due to cultural and political sensitivity, the Extreme Love Ministries team will coordinate all locations of focus. More information will be given upon request.
