I just want to share a few thoughts I have as I’m writing this morning. So I am living here in Cambodia right now and I will have these moments in the day where the world around me seems to slow down and my senses are awakened. These are moments when God will speak to me in a very clear way and get my attention when I least expect it! These are sweet and defining moments for me. Isn’t it cool how God will meet us anytime and anywhere?

When this has happened to me recently, I have noticed that my eyes and heart are opened to the people around me – those simply going about their days who may or may not know God. I will feel the heart of God for the people I see. I will see beauty in them, the plans of God for their life, and long for them to know a loving Father. How I want them to know they are of great value! How I want them to know there is a God who is for them and will never leave them! I want them to receive healing, joy, and abundant life from their good Father.

Have you experienced something similar to this? Maybe you felt really drawn to someone you saw as you were walking by them or you felt your heart being pulled to help someone in need. God is love and living inside of YOU!

His love is like the waves of the ocean- constant and never ending! “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.” Psalm 136:1

So what do we do with this great love inside of us and how do we share it with the world in need around us? I am getting a greater understanding of this, but I think a key is found in Matthew 22:39 which says to love others the way we love ourselves.

When we know how loved we are by God then we can’t help but let that love flow through us onto others. It’s hard to give something that you haven’t received for yourself, right? I think that the more revelation we get of the love of God for us personally, the greater impact we will have on the world around us. His love will be let loose through us!

I am thinking of Psalm 139 … a beautiful psalm showing our great worth and value. “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” (Psalm 139:13-16) …and I encourage you to keep reading! Meditate on your great worth and value today. Meditate on His love for you and then let it transform your mind and flow from within you to change the world.You will bring others into the freedom you have found in knowing you are loved and valued!
