Hi! First off, I want to say THANK YOU for reading XP Missions’ blog! We are so blessed and honored that you follow us. Thank you for your interest in our ministry and in the nations of the earth. My name is Jacqueline Bixler, and I am a part of the on-ground team here in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I have been here just about a month and it has been a wild adventure so far! I am so thankful to be on this team and to be a part of the work God has for us as a ministry.

I want to share about something that happened just this past week. A couple of us from the team had the privilege and great blessing to share with a group of Christian youth at a local church in town about the value of life and the topic of abortion. Now abortion is something that I learned is not really talked about here in Cambodia- and even in the church! Abortion is rampant and very common in this nation, but it is very much in darkness. There are many places to easily get an abortion here. You can go to a pharmacy and get a pill to kill your baby with no prescription from a doctor. Two out of every three women in Cambodia have had an abortion. The enemy has tried to keep abortion in darkness and under the radar.

“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” Isaiah 9:2

However, I have good news concerning this problem! This is where the church comes in. Hallelujah, we are the light of the world! Jesus comes with truth and light, which sets the people free and exposes lies. Our team got to partner with heaven to bring truth.

“and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

We were able to go through a curriculum we have to instruct the students. We talked about the value of life backed by Scripture, the biology of how life is formed and that at the time of conception there is life. We showed the students models of a baby at different stages of pregnancy and talked about abortion. One person on our team shared a personal testimony from her heart of how God has revealed to her the value of life. This was a powerful testimony that the youth could connect with!

I loved that our team could be with our young Cambodian brothers and sisters to see them walk in the freedom and truth that is found in Jesus! No longer does abortion have to be a thing shrouded in darkness, shame, or embarrassment, for the light has come! Now these youth, who are the next generation rising up in this country, are empowered to value life. They can now make the right decision regarding their children. They are empowered to raise the standard of righteousness in their country and in their generation and spread the truth to see others set free. Amen! To God be the glory!

We are asking “the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:38
