It is Harvest Time in Cambodia!
Have you have ever walked through an orchard or a garden when the fruit or vegetables are ripe? When I was younger I was privileged to experience this. Whether it was fresh apples, cherries, carrots, or potatoes from the garden, it was always great to experience the flavors of this fresh produce! In order to get the fruit, we would always travel to another province and it was a part of our vacation time. There were some added perks such as swimming in a clean crisp lake. I also loved having bacon and eggs cooked on the camp stove, meeting new people, and experiencing the Rocky Mountains, hiking etc. In some ways those memories resemble my current mission’s experience. It really becomes an adventure and the harvest is truly ripe! We just need more laborers!
Luke 10:2 NIV
He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Perhaps you have never been on a mission’s trip, or maybe not in a while. If this is something you might be interested in, we would love to have you join us here for a week or two! There are several opportunities to come along side us. Come taste and see that the Lord is good! Check it out here: http://www.extremelove.com/xp-outreaches/
For me personally it hasn’t even been a year since we started Men’s Ministry and we have seen much fruit from our labors! We started by having prayer meetings, and waiting upon Father God. As per previous blogs, you have been able to experience some of our journey. We felt to reach out to the men who are connected with the Everlasting Love Ministry. We knew that God would also want these men to be discipled. We believe that God is the God of families and we love seeing families restored to what God always intended.
So today I would like to share a little bit about Nimith, who got to experience the Father less than a year ago. Today he is starting a new position as a Tuk Tuk driver, and he will be assisting us here with the daily duties by driving. He is a young fellow, eager to learn and work. He is experiencing God through visions and through the peace that God gives. He is a seer. Just the other day he shared a vision that he saw two trees. One was planted by a river and one was not. He interpreted that to mean that as you stay close to God you will grow and if you don’t you will dry up. That’s it in a nutshell. It is pretty basic but extremely powerful. He is being raised up and He will become a better husband and father to his own family as well as to the other families in his village and beyond.
Sons and daughters are being raised up! The children are rising up! God is manifesting himself in very tangible ways world-wide, but truly this is harvest time in Cambodia people are hungry for change.
My prayer is that you will experience a call to reach out to what God has put in front of you. Maybe it’s a person who has been on your heart, maybe it’s a country, and maybe it’s just Him calling out to you to come and sit in His garden, to meet Him face to face.
