A Little over a year and a half ago, I started my venture to Cambodia. God said to me. “Give me two years of transitioning back and forth to Cambodia and then I will tell you your next steps”. As I am approaching my two-year mark, I have been very faithful to His words. Currently, I am experiencing my 5^th trip to Cambodia within a 22 month period. Every trip has been different in its own unique and beautiful way. Every trip has been a blessing and a learning experience. I know God is training me for something amazing here.

This current trip has been an answer to God’s promise. Last year when we went to  Sihanoukville, which is a beach about 4 hours away from Phnom Penh, God said to write down my ministry’s name in the sand. So I did. I had no idea why, but I knew to do this. This current trip as I sit on the bus writing this blog, I am on the way back to the very same beach. This time I am surrounded by 6 women who have come out of sex trafficking and prostitution. The joy and laughter coming from these women shows me God’s love and healing power. We are in for quite a weekend!

Also during this trip, we took the children from the safe houses to the water park and to “Kid City” where they could just be kids. One child was so excited that she actually ran and jumped in the pool with her clothes on. She didn’t even wait to get her bathing suit on. Once again the joy and laughter of God’s love and healing power overflowed onto the children. One child came up to me and said “I feel the love of Jesus here”.

The Father’s heart lavishing goodness here continues to keep me in a place of humbleness and wonder. During this trip, while my ministry partner and I are here, we have been given the opportunity to teach and minister to these very same women and children. Not only did these beautiful ones receive healing for their body and mind, but we also were able to teach them soul healing. God really wants us all healed in every way.

Rescuing those that are coming out of trafficking and prostitution is not a one-time thing, it’s a process that leads to restoration. It’s coming alongside them for a lifetime, not just a moment. It’s becoming the voices who speak God’s love over them, it’s becoming the arms that are always open when a hug is needed, and it’s being a family, even if it’s from across the world.

As I get ready to enter into the new “steps” that God has promised me after my two-year transition period, I am filled with excitement and curiosity, but mostly I am filled with Gods peace.
